WESSOCLEAN AQUA TYP 1 ‐ Heat pump cleaning

A water source heat pump system is a naturally friendly way of heating a building. Water heat pump systems are usually quiet and do not require extensive maintenance measures. However, they need a consistent water supply that is sufficient throughout the year. As long as the water source is safe by the production well, the whole system is working trouble‐free! WESSOCLEAN AQUA TYP 1 is a highly effective and sustainably ecological method of regenerating and maintaining production wells. WESSOCLEAN AQUA TYP 1 offers private water heat pump users the possibility to clean the pumping well without the use of harmful chemicals and complex techniques with practically applicable quantities and instructions.

EFFECTIVE HEAT PUMP REGENERATION MUST START IN THE FILTER AREA OF THE WELL.

A decrease of performance of a well, is commonly called well aging and happens ‐ sooner or later ‐ to every type of well: whether garden well, drilled well or even the production well (or induction well) and in the water heat pump system (the heat pump itself is also affected!). Responsible are deposits of iron and manganese oxides, that are formed in the inner well pipe but also along the outside of the pipe wall, in the gravel pack, and the surrounding hydrogeology Well ageing can be caused by geological‐hydrological or operational factors. Every well has an impact on the different rock strata. Due to the pressure relief, there is mixing and thus a chemical imbalance. The mixing leads to the oxidation (ochreisation) of iron‐to‐iron hydroxide and to its precipitation, which reduces the pore volume and the permeability of the aquifer.

Water pumping itself is also a serious intervention in the natural water chemism. Carbonic acid escapes during pumping, which leads to "Sintering" = formation of carbonates (crystalline salts) in the well area. These deposits reduce the pore spaces and block the filter slots. Preventive well maintenance and/or heat pump treatment can slow down or prevent microbiologically induced well ageing due to biological clogging.

Therefore, cleaning measures of all well and water heat pump systems at regular intervals are very effective and extremely useful. If, on the other hand, the pumping capacity of the well (heat pump well) and/or the heat pump is already so limited that the well is only drawing air, the well is pumping no or only a little water, brown or reddish deposits are showing on the water heat pump or the induction well (in the water heat pump system) is overflowing, only well regeneration will help: WESSOCLEAN AQUA TYP 1
